Trevor Sinclair Opens Depaul House

Earlier this summer former England footballer Trevor Sinclair opened Depaul’s newlyrefurbished project in North Tyneside. For 21 years, Depaul House (formally The Compass Project) has provided a safe, welcoming place to stay for local young people going through a difficult time, many of whom had nowhere else to go.

From now on, 14 young residents will not just find shelter at Depaul House, but live in a unique, modern environment that matches our aspirations for all our young people. The state of the art building incorporates design ideas that help young people relate to each other, their support staff and their volunteers, putting healthy relationships at the heart of the home.

One resident said “I love Depaul House, the staff are so supportive and the house is nothing like you think a hostel would be. It is a bright, nice place to live and it gives me hope and motivation for the future.”
