World Villages for Children supports the education programmes of the Sisters of Mary to run live-in schools for the most deprived boys and girls across the world. With a place at school, these children have their lives transformed. They receive the chance to enjoy a proper childhood and receive a quality education. Every child learns not only academic subjects, but also vocational skills which are tailored to the skills-needs of local employers. These skills help children into decent work straight after school, which empowers them with a decent income to help themselves and their families.

Once in work, these children can become independent and self-sufficient adults, able to support not just themselves, but their families and community members – reducing generational poverty and improving access to healthcare for many more people in need.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, more than 170,000 children have already graduated from these programmes and thousands more lives have been changed for the better.

Today there are over 20,000 children in the care of the Sisters but there are many thousands more still living in extreme poverty. Children whose lives are plagued by hunger and neglect. By leaving a gift in your Will to World Villages for Children, you are looking after the next generation of children born into poverty, helping vulnerable children lift themselves out of poverty and live dignified, independent lives. Your gift will help ensure these children have someone to care for them and that they learn skills which will help them to find work and become independent adults. Your kindness will ensure that the Sisters are around to help these children for generations to come.
