Founded in 1918 by Fr. Edward Galvin and Fr. John Blowick for missionary work in China, the Missionary Society of St. Columban is an international Catholic missionary organisation centred on the Eucharist that crosses boundaries of culture and religion to reveal, by word and by action, the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We participate in God’s mission and help to establish a world of peace with justice and care for the integrity of creation in solidarity with poor, exploited and marginalised communities, with special emphasis in Asia, Latin America, Oceania, Ireland and Britain.

Columbans spend a lifetime laying deep foundations for others to build upon. A gift in your Will to the Columbans will help to give lasting encouragement to a new generation of missionaries from the Philippines, Chile, Fiji, Korea and Taiwan; a legacy of the first Columbans to visit these countries.
