Across organises European holidays and pilgrimages of a lifetime to the Catholic Marian Shrine of Lourdes in South West France for those needing special care.
People who are sick and disabled (whom we call VIPs) are taken to Lourdes, accompanied by a doctor, nurses, a priest and helpers by Jumbulance: a unique vehicle with ambulance status, specially constructed to carry our VIPs.
Priority is given to those in terminal illness, those with progressive diseases and those whose medical conditions make it impossible or impractical to use conventional means of transport.
Across aims to enable the pilgrims to participate in a spiritual experience, while also enjoying holiday activities and the company of others in changed surroundings.
Each year, Across subsidises every traveller, with additional support available for young people, nurses and priests. We need to raise additional funds to do this. By remembering Across in your will, you will make travel possible for the sick and disabled for years to come. I know your will is a very personal matter and taking care of those closest to you will be your priority. Once you’ve ensured your family is looked after, your will offers a chance to make sure Jumbulance travel is there for people who need it in the future.
Any gift, large or small, will help us to continue to offer this unique and often life changing experience.
